I’m Antoni Mut, currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University within the ERC Starting Grant project Safe & Sound, focused on evidence-based regulation of healthcare robots. My research sits at the intersection of law, economics, and new technologies.

In Dickens’ words, we are living the best and the worst of times. Whether AI will become a life-changer is still an open question. What I can say with some confidence, however, is that it is already a game-changer for research.

To be honest, I have never actually read A Tale of Two Cities — but I have listened to Bob Dylan’s The Times They Are A-Changin’ well over a hundred times. So, as a researcher, you had better start swimming or you will sink like a stone, because the times are changing.

That is why I created this space: to share updates on my research — new publications, conference presentations, ongoing projects, and occasional reflections on the topics I work on: empirical legal studies, consumer protection in financial markets, and the regulation of emerging technologies.
